Catullus 92

Catullus has a problem. Once again it seems that he and Lesbia aren't on good terms. She is still talking badly about him - but now he is doing the same to her. Catullus says they say these mean things because they love each other-which leaves readers to wonder: do they really?

Taking a mathematical approach, I will now formulate an informal proof:

1. Lesbia talks badly about Catullus
2. Catullus talks badly about Lesbia
3. Catullus believes it is because they love eachother
4. Reader is unsure what Lesbia thinks (since she is not narrating)
5. Woman is always correct
Proof cannot be formulated.

So, we still have to wonder...what the zeus is going on between Catullus and Lesbia?!
